LIFE MAGIC by Susan Bowes

The Power of Positive Witchcraft

Hardcover

$21.00

Life Magic is full introduction for the open-minded soul to the rites of the old ways, which rely on intuition, sensitivity, and an awareness of the mystery of the natural world.  Susan Bowes provides a compact yet detailed workbook for the novice, in which she reveals the mysteries behind magical rites and instructs readers on:

How to prepare for rituals -- everything from setting up the sacred circle and alter to choosing the candles for their magical qualities

How to conduct spells to enhance all areas of life, including love and prosperity

The special ceremonies of witches and pagans, including hand-fasting and naming a newborn

The true meaning of festivals and celebrations such as Halloween

The symbolic importance of numbers, runes, tarot, and the zodiac

And how best to use this information to help further the power of your own spells and incantations

The power behind Life Magic, unlike black magic, rests in its celebration of all that enriches life, with an emphasis on the importance of connections and relationships with nature.  At its heart is a belief in the positive power of the feminine goddess -- a spiritual entity whose merits are too often ignored.  By allowing the goddess to rise once again, it is possible to embark on a journey of discovery, harnessing previously untapped energy that will enable you to empower your life.

Beginning with an overview of the origins of gods and goddesses in various pagan beliefs, Susan Bowes delves into the meaning of magic, explaining the logic and workings behind it, opening the door to the art of spellmaking.

Susan Bowes is a white witch with a deep understanding of the positive energies that drive all our lives, and the skill to communicate her knowledge.  She began her career as a corporate television scriptwriter and producer, but after she survived a plane crash at the age of thirty-six, her life changed direction and she returned to her interest in magic, myth, and fantasy.  Bowe's travels around the world led her to study with esoteric teachers and healers throughout England, the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Guatemala.  During this time she had an array of adventures, from fire walking to sailing down the coast of Mexico through hurricane storm winds, which affirmed her faith in the power of nature.  She returned to England in the early 1990s to concentrate on her writing career, focusing on the esoteric mysteries of life with her first book, Notions and Potions.
