NATURAL ALTERNATIVES TO ANTIBIOTICS by Dr. John McKenna

$12.95

Antibiotics are the most commonly prescribed drugs in the world. When they were first developed in the 1940s, antibiotics were hailed as a miracle breakthrough in the treatment of previously incurable bacterial infections. Currently, however, the massive overprescription and misuse of these drugs has led to a growing number of serious health concerns. Today’s stronger antibiotics can totally destroy beneficial intestinal bacteria, leading to bowel disorders as well as depressed immunity. In addition, more and more people have become resistant to antibiotics, bringing us back to an era of potentially untreatable diseases.

Is there anything that can be done about this? Yes there is! In Natural Alternatives to Antibiotics, Dr. John McKenna offers natural approaches to the treatment of bacterial infections. After first detailing the history of dangerous antibiotics, he explains how their overuse has led to the development of dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria. He then provides therapeutic options for treatment and prevention of infections using herbal, homeopathic and nutritional remedies. Dr. McKenna also recognizes that there are times when the use of antibiotics is necessary, and explains the circumstances in which you may need treatment, as well as steps you can take to prevent the upset of your intestinal bacteria and to ensure that the antibiotics will be most effective. Dr. McKenna has also included a chapter that discusses treatment options for childhood infections.

There are safe and effective ways to treat infections and combat bacterial resistance to antibiotics—all without the use of antibiotics or other drugs. Natural Alternatives to Antibiotics will show you how.
