THE YOGA OF NUTRITION by Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

$6.50

The Maitre Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov was born in Bulgaria in the year 1900. In 1937, the Master brought the teaching of the Universal White Brotherhood to France, where he has lived and taught ever since.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Master’s Teaching is the extraordinary variety of approaches used to develop the central theme, man and his evolution towards perfection. Whatever the topic under discussion, it is invariably examined in relation to man himself and the ways in which he can use the knowledge thus acquired to gain a fuller understanding of human nature and a greater control over his life. If the Master’s words hit home so powerfully, so constructively, it is no doubt because he is himself the living illustration of his Teaching, the proof of its veracity.

This book is not a dietary handbook, it has nothing to do with diet. The Maitre Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov considers the way man thinks about the food more important than what, or how much, he eats. The Master lifts the act of eating onto the level of a mystical rite, a sacrament such as Holy Communion, the Last Supper, in all their spiritual significance.

Even someone to whom the spiritual aspect is foreign cannot but understand as he reads that his thoughts and feelings, his way of considering his daily nourishment, are what lead him to the profound mysteries of the relationship between man and Nature, the nature which nourishes him. If he deepens that relationship by extracting from the food more subtle, finer elements, his entire being will then be able to unfold and flourish.
