BARBERRY ROOT

Berberis Vulgaris

Contains an antibacterial alkaloid, berberine that is used in the treatment of tropical diseases including malaria and dysentery.  Also contains anti-cancer compounds and is included in chemotherapy drugs.  Used for gall bladder and liver complaints, it is also an anti-flammatory.  Strengthens and cleanses they system.  Eases fever, diarrhea, arthritis and infection.  Helps lower blood pressure.

CAUTION: Stimulates the uterus, avoid if pregnant.  High doses may cause nausea, low blood pressure, headaches and diarrhea.
