FENNEL SEED

Foeniculum Vulgare

 Aromatic, Carmative, Pesticide.  Used in magick to give the user strength, vitality, sexual virility and fertility.  Also used for protection.  Used as a spice in cooking.  When ground to a powder it may be used on pets as it prevents fleas.  Relieves flatulence, stomach cramps and colic while also stimulating the digestion and appetite.  Similar to aniseed as it calms bronchitis and coughs.  Use as a mouthwash for gum disorders and a gargle for sore throats and hoarseness.  The tea is often used as an expectorant to treat whopping cough, asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory infections.  Externally used for muscular or rheumatic pains.

CAUTION: Large doses will stimulate uterus, avoid if pregnant.
