A bitter stomachic used mainly as flavoring.  Aids fevers and inflammations, rheumatic pain, obstinate hiccoughs and scurvy.

Powder and add to incense for rituals.  Cut into heart shape and carry to attract a mate.

Used in potpourri and home fragrance preparations.
