diuretic & expectorant. Highly
regarded for the treatment of asthma, bronchitis and as a tobacco deterrent.
Used to reduce nicotine addiction, it is the major ingredient in many
anti-smoking mixtures. Also used to
treat whooping cough. Induces
vomiting. Externally used as a poultice for bruises, insect bites,
sprains, ringworm, poison ivy irritation and to treat skin boils and ulcers.
Thrown in front of an approaching storm it will stop its approach.
Also carried to attract love. CAUTION: Overdoses of homemade medicinal preparations have resulted in poisoning. Consult a health care practitioner before ingesting.
